Add a Charge

The Add a Charge pop-up box appears.

Refer to the following table and fill in the fields to add charges:

Field

Description

Charge

The amount to be charged from the guest

Quantity

The quantity of the charge

Click Add to add the respective charge.

When an unavailable inventory item is added as a recurring charge to a reservation, the item selected is highlighted in red and displayed.

The user with the proper permission assigned is required to override and proceed with adding the item.

Click Next. The Add a Charge dialog box appears.

Refer to the following table and fill in the fields to set the frequency:

Field

Description

Start

The start date of the charge

End

The end date of the charge

Every

The frequency of nights to apply the charge

First night only

The charges are applied only for the first night of stay

By days of week

The charges are applied for the required days

Click Next

Enter the Reference number and comment for the charge. Users can do so by enabling the required field in the Folio Defaults section in the Guest Accounting screen.

Click Add Charge.
